Excellent qualification of Alberto Forato on Saturday who, with a fifth place in the mx2 class, brought the best result to the Italian team. With this result, Italy qualified fifth for Sunday’s race and surprised everyone.
Unfortunately in Sunday’s race everything went wrong and despite the great efforts of Forato, Lupino and Monticelli, nothing worked well in order to repeat Saturday’s performance.
Forato in moto 1, due to technical problems, abandoned the race. In race 2 together with the open class, he redeemed himself with a good performance finishing twentieth overall and ninth in the mx2. Adding all the results of the three Italian riders, the Italian national team takes home the sixteenth place overall, a result below expectations but still it was a great experience that certainly will be important for the future.
The next appointment for the Team Maddii Racing Husqvarna will be on 5/6 October at Castel San Pietro for the last round of the Italian championship Prestige.
Weekend impegnativo per il Team Italia e Alberto Forato al motocross delle Nazioni ad Assen.
Eccellente qualificazione di Alberto Forato al sabato che con un quinto posto nella MX2 ha portato il miglior risultato alla squadra italiana.
Con questa prestazione l’Italia si è qualificata quinta per la gara di domenica sorprendono tutti.
Purtroppo nella gara di domenica tutto è andato storto e nonostante i grandi sforzi di Forato, Lupino e Monticelli, nulla ha funzionato per ripetere la prestazione di sabato.
Forato in gara 1 a causa di problemi tecnici ha abbandonato la corsa prima dello scadere del tempo. In gara 2 insieme alla classe open si è riscattato con una buona prestazione chiudendo al ventesimo posto assoluto e nono nella mx2.
Sommando tutti i risultati dei tre piloti italiani, la nazionale italiana porta a casa il sedicesimo posto assoluto, un risultato inferiore alle aspettative ma è stata comunque una grande esperienza che sicuramente sarà importante per il futuro.
Il prossimo appuntamento per il Team Maddii Racing Husqvarna sarà il 5/6 ottobre a Castel San Pietro per l’ultimo round del campionato italiano Prestige.
