Great victory in Race 2 for Tom Guyon, who was second overall and reached the second step of the podium.
It was the time of the third appointment with the MX Prestige Italian Championship that took place at the track of Fermo. For the occasion, the Fantic Racing MX Team lined up their two riders, Valk and Fueri on their Fantic XX250 as well as Tom Guyon, who is now back to racing, and Lynn Valk in the MX2.
Alexis Fueri joined Group 1 and had a great feeling riding on the track of Fermo, in fact he was the fastest of his group and qualified second. Tom Guyon, who was in the other group, achieved an excellent result as well and finished third. Cas Valk ended up in sixth place. Lynn Valk used this race as an opportunity to train for the upcoming events of the World Championship but was not able to qualify in Group A.
Lynn Valk lined up at the start of the first race of Group B and did the best she could. With a lot of determination and a fast race pace Lynn was able to work her way up and finish with the 11th place.
In race2 of Group B Lynn was the author of a phenomenal performance that led her to the sixth position.
Tom Guyon achieved an amazing performance in the first race of Group A and considering all the injuries that have affected the first part of the current racing season, the rider is getting back in shape and is reaching back his level. Tom was wise at the start in order to avoid mistakes and thanks to a solid race pace he worked his way up till the second place but qualified third eventually. Solid performance for Fueri who finished behind his team-mate, in fourth position. Cas Valk made too many mistakes in the first part of the race and lost ground but the Dutch rode with immense determination and finished 13th.
At the start of Race2 Guyon took the hole shot and the French rider wrote his name on a thrilling race where the speed was very high and where he kept the first place from beginning to end. Tom Guyon won the second moto and came home with the second position overall. Cas Valk recovered after a heat which was below his potential and thanks to a great rhythm, he qualified third. Alexis Fueri finished in fourth place.
The Fantic Racing MX Team will now head to France for the next GP of the World Championship.
Marco Maddii: “Let me start by congratulating Escandell, who today won the 125cc Spanish Championship. In Fermo the riders were amazing. Guyon won one race and was second overall. Fueri is still the red plate holder and Valk is second. These are such positive results for the European races. There’s still a lot of work we’ve to do but we’re going in the right direction”.
