After the long break we are back on track, on this first day the European Championship is the protagonist with two categories, the EMX250 and the EMX Open.
In 250 Mattia Guadagnini and Maximilian Spies immediately found the right pace in qualifying, obtaining the third and seventh fastest time of their group, a good performance that bodes well for the two races. At the start of race 1 Mattia cannot get a good exit from the gate and on the first lap he passes 16th, Guadagnini immediately showed his speed but during his comeback he crashed losing the positions gained. Mattia did not lose heart and with an amazing comeback he finished in 5th place. Spies ends in twentieth position. In race 2 Guadagnini is fantastic, an incredible start and during the first laps he takes the lead, in the last two laps he manages to defend himself perfectly from the attacks of his opponent and takes home the victory of the moto and the second step of the podium. Maximilian with an excellent race ends up in tenth position.
In the Open class good performance of the two young riders Barbaglia and Tuani, in qualifying they both manage to stay in the top fifteen. In race 1 Barbaglia manages to improve by hitting the 14th place, Tuani unfortunately crashed at the start and restarted in the last positions finishing his race in 20th place. In the second heat Eugenio Barbaglia put in another good performance finishing 12th, Federico Tuani dnf the race.
Marco Maddii: “The day started very well, in qualifying both Mattia and Max showed the right speed, in the first heat Mattia made a small mistake that took away the chance to fight for the victory, in race 2 he was spectacular. Max showed that when he believes in it he can be in the top ten. Our goal is to be constant and if we continue like this we can do very well. In the Open Barbaglia he did two good motos, it's a pity for Federico who did a good time in qualifying and then made too many mistakes in the heats, I am convinced that Federico and Eugenio can be among the top ten. "
