The second round of the 2020 Motocross World Championship is Holland and the Valkenswaard track to stage this race. Difficult weather conditions that made the sandy bottom even more insidious. The EMX250 European Championship kicks off and Mattia Guadagnini and Maximilian Spies make their debut.
In the timed practice excellent eighth time for Mattia Guadagnini in his group, unfortunately Spies was unable to qualify. At the start of the first moto, Mattia cannot find a good start and thanks to a fall, he finishes the race in 12th position.
In race 2 Guadagnini showed his speed and tenacity, after a good start Mattia kept a very high pace which saw him go up the classification until the fourth final position.
Mattia Guadagnini ends his weekend in ninth absolute position.
In MX2 Alberto Forato did not have much luck, in qualifying he never managed to find the right lap to be able to score a good time. In Saturday’s qualifying heats Alberto Forato was the victim of a bad fall without major consequences but with a big blow to the shoulder. Forato in Sunday’s warm-up he tried to get on the track but the severe pain did not allow him to take part in the race.
The Husqvarna Junior Racing Maddii team is preparing for the Argentina trip in fifteen days.
Marco Maddii: ”A difficult weekend for our Team, Mattia in tricky track conditions managed to finish with two good results, especially the 4th place in the second moto. Alberto unfortunately after the bad fall on Saturday where he hit his shoulder hard, we decided to keep him at rest to be ready for the race in Argentina. Secondo appuntamento per il Mondiale Motocross 2020, è l’Olanda sulla pista di Valkenswaard a fare da palcoscenico a questa gara.
Condizioni meteo difficili che hanno reso il fondo sabbioso ancora più insidioso. Al via anche il Campionato Europeo EMX250 e fanno il loro esordio Mattia Guadagnini e Maximilian Spies.
Nelle prove cronometrate buon ottavo tempo per Mattia Guadagnini nel suo gruppo, purtroppo Spies non è riuscito a qualificarsi. Al via della prima manche Mattia non riesce a centrare una buona partenza e complice anche una caduta conclude la gara in 12° posizione.
In gara 2 Guadagnini ha messo in mostra la sua velocità e tenacia, dopo una buona partenza Mattia ha tenuto un ritmo molto alto che lo ha visto risalire la classifica fino alla quarta posizione finale.
Mattia Guadagnini conclude il suo fine settimana in nona posizione assoluta.
Nella MX2 Alberto Forato non ha avuto molta fortuna, nelle qualifiche non è mai riuscito a trovare il giro giusto per poter far segnare un buon tempo. Nella manche di qualifica di sabato Alberto Forato è stato vittima di una brutta caduta senza grosse conseguenze ma con una gran botta alla spalla. Forato nel warm up di domenica ha provato a scendere in pista ma il forte dolore non gli ha permesso di poter prendere parte alla gara.
Il team Husqvarna Junior Racing Maddii si prepara per la trasferta Argentina tra quindici giorni.
Marco Maddii:”Un fine settimana impegnativo per il nostro Team, Mattia in condizioni difficili della pista è riuscito a concludere con due buoni risultati, soprattutto il 4° posto nella seconda manche. Alberto purtroppo dopo la brutta caduta di sabato dove ha picchiato forte la spalla, abbiamo deciso di tenerlo a riposo per essere pronti per la gara in Argentina. Torniamo a casa e continuiamo a lavorare per cercare di migliorare.”
