First of the three World Championship races that will take place in Lommel, the track after yesterday presented itself in really difficult conditions.
Alberto Forato is getting back in shape after the shoulder injury, his condition is not yet 100% and racing in Lommel in these conditions is not easy.
In qualifying Alberto tries not to overdo it so as not to make mistakes and he got the 18th time.
In race 1 Forato managed to take back some positions during the first lap, Alberto staged his aggressive and spectacular riding but when he was picking up the right pace, a small mistake pushed him back a few positions. Alberto finish the first moto in 17th. At the start of race 2, Forato immediately started very strong and also thanks to a good pace and without making any mistakes he crossed the finish line in 12th position. On Wednesday 21st October we are back on track for the second race again in Lommel.
Marco Maddii: ”Today the track presented itself in very difficult conditions and this did not help Alberto who is not yet in top form, Forato in race 2 finished 12th, a good result even though we were aiming to enter the top ten. I'm very confident for Wednesday's race, today with the track in these conditions we couldn't have done better.
