GIANLUCA FACCHETTI TOGETHER WITH MADDII RACING-HUSQVARNA TEAM CONQUERED THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 125 CLASS. WITH TWO MANCHE VICTORIES, GIANLUCA FACCHETTI KNOCKED ALL HIS OPPONENTS OUT.
It has been a very challenging journey for the Teams who had to reach the very far Estonia for the single elimination race for the Junior World Championship for the young talents of the 65-85 and 125 classes.
28 Nations in total, represented by over 180 riders who arrived for Saturday’s qualifying. In the 125 class, the Italian team lined up Facchetti Gianluca from Maddii Racing – Husqvarna Team, Puccinelli Matteo and Scuteri Emilio.
The Estonian circuit of Tartu which hosted this important race was born only a few years ago but proved to be well organized for the event. The sandy but compact type of soil did not particularly favor the Nordic riders and so Gianluca Facchetti obtained the best lap in the 125 class already on Saturday’s qualifying.
FIRST MANCHE: Gianluca Facchetti started in first position and kept the lead without any difficulty to the first checkered flag, obtaining also the Best Lap. Behind him, there has been a race fight between his direct opponents of the European Championship 125 cc. 1st Facchetti Gianluca (Husqvarna) 2nd Haarup Mikkel (Husqvarna) 3rd Strubart Moreau (Ktm) 4th Horgmo Kevin (Ktm) 5th Puccinelli Matteo (Ktm) 8th Scuteri Andrea (Ktm)
SECOND MANCHE: Gianluca Facchetti got off second from the starting gate but at the first corner he was already in first position, determined to win the race as never before. Lap after lap he earned precious seconds, putting a margin of advantage between him and his opponents so that he could afford some spectacular jumps in his own way during the last lap of the race. His direct opponent, Haarup Mikkel was unable to resume his rythm after a crash in the first laps and ended the race in third position.

Gianluca Facchetti: "Today, a very important result has arrived despite the physical problems I had to face so I am extremely happy."
Marco Maddii: "Gian was phenomenal, the bike was prefect, I do not know what to add except for the fact that it has been a day to be remebered. Now we will work even harder for the next events."
Corrado Maddii: "Today Gian was fantastic, I can see him improving more and more. And even if the path is long, the Team will do its best to achieve with him all the goals we have established."
The next event will take place on Sunday, August 6th in Belgium for the Sixth race of the European Championship 125 class at Lommel.

Una trasferta veramente impegnativa per i vari team che hanno dovuto raggiungere la lontana Estonia per la gara unica di Campionato del Mondo junior riservata ai giovani talenti della classe 65-85 e 125 .
28 nazioni in totale, rappresentate da oltre 180 piloti che si sono presentati per le qualifiche del sabato. La squadra Italiana ha schierato nella classe 125 Facchetti Gianluca del team Maddii Racing – Husqvarna, Puccinelli Matteo e Scuteri Emilio. Il circuito Estone di Tartu che ha ospitato questa importante gara è nato solo alcuni anni fa ma si è dimostrato ben organizzato. Il tipo di terreno sabbioso ma compatto non ha particolarmente favorito i piloti nordici e così già dalle prove di qualifica del sabato Gianluca Facchetti si è aggiudicato il miglior tempo della classe 125.
PRIMA MANCHE: Gianluca Facchetti partito in testa ha tenuto il comando senza difficoltà fine alla prima bandiera a scacchi aggiudicandosi anche il Best Lap. Dietro di lui una gara combattuta fra i suoi diretti avversari del Campionato Europeo classe 125. 1° Facchetti Gianluca (Husqvarna) 2° Haarup Mikkel (Husqvarna) 3° Strubart Moreau (Ktm) 4° Horgmo Kevin (Ktm) 5°Puccinelli Matteo (Ktm) 8° Scuteri Andrea (Ktm)
SECONDA MANCHE: Gianluca Facchetti spunta dal cancello di partenza secondo ma alla prima curva è già primo e determinato come non mai. Guadagna secondi preziosi giro dopo giro mettendo tra lui e gli inseguitori un margine di vantaggio tale da potersi permettere nell’ultimo giro di gara anche dei salti spettacolari come solo lui sa fare. Il suo diretto inseguitore Haarup Mikkel dopo una brutta scivolata nei primi di giri di gara non riesce a riprendere il passo e termina la gara in terza posizione. 1°Facchetti Gianluca (Husqvarna) 2°Horgmo Kevin (Ktm) 3°Haarup (Husqvarna) 10° Scuteri Andrea (Ktm) 12° Puccinelli Matteo (Ktm) 38° Zanotti Andrea (Ktm)
