ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP MX Prestige -Malpensa -17.18 / 09.2022
Last appointment of the season for the Italian Mx Prestige Championship which took place on the Malpensa track revised in its layout.
The Fantic Factory Team Maddii lines up all its riders from MX1 with Nicholas Lapucci to MX2 with Osterhagen and Tondel passing through 125 with Valk.
Cas Valk immediately shows all his speed by going to take pole position.
In race 1 the strong Dutch driver had no difficulty in taking the lead from the first lap and thanks to an excellent pace he completed the 17 laps always in the lead, taking home the victory.
Race 2 is a photocopy of the first heat, Cas on the hard bottom of Malpensa has shown that he can go fast even in these conditions and with a capital test he crossed the finish line first.
In addition to the race victory Cas Valk wins the Rookie Cup with an almost perfect season with 5 wins and a second place.
In Mx2 Hakon Osterhagen on the brand new Fantic XXF 250 obtained the best time in his group and Cornelius Tondel set the seventh time, the two young riders obtained the third and fourth absolute times.
In the first heat an excellent start for Tondel who immediately moved into third position which he held tight throughout the race until the finish line, Hakon was unable to make the most of his position at the gate and had to recover up to fourth place.
In race 2 Osterhagen was extraordinary, start in the lead and incredible pace that gave him the chance to win with an abysmal gap on the second, Tondel after a mistake at the start that saw him pass in the last positions he recovered in a great way, finishing in seventh position.
On the podium of the day Hakon is second and Cornelius third as well in the championship standings.
Nicholas Lapucci showed another good performance, in qualifying he set the second absolute time.
In the two heats reserved for the Mx1 Nicholas is very fast and takes home two excellent second places.
Thanks to this result, Lapucci finishes second in the championship standings
